On 27th June 2012, the NSW Government voted in the Game and Feral Animal Control Act that allows amateur, recreational hunting to occur in national parks. Interest groups have agreed to protest until the legislation is reversed.
From 10am - 4pm, Sunday 26 May NPA's Southern Sydney Branch will be holding a stall at Cronulla Mall. The stall will be located half way down the mall. This is a great opportunity to speak to a very active branch about the issue, how you can get involved and help in your local area. Petitions will be available for signing on the day.
NPA invites you to help create a visual story of the community opposition to amateur, recreational hunting occurring in the 77 national parks that the Coalition Government plans to open to shooters.
Our goal is to have at least one photo of people holding a "No hunting in national parks" placard in front of the entrance sign for each of the 77 parks. We intend to present the final collection to the NSW Coalition Government and media.
