WATCH THE DEBATE ON HUNTING IN NATIONAL PARKS LIVE!
When: 4pm, 22 August 2013
Where: From the gallery, NSW PARLIAMENT HOUSE
Thanks to all the work on the ground by individuals and organisations, we were able to present over 11,500 signatures on a petition opposing amateur, recreational hunting in national parks to the NSW Government.
Alex Greenwich, Member for Sydney tabled these signatures a few months back so that the issue can be debated in the “People’s Parliament” on Thursday 22 August.
Alex Greenwich and other politicians will debate the matter for 25 minutes.
Arrive promptly to Parliament for 4pm for a kick off time of 4:30pm. Remember you need time to pass through security, get inside and take a seat.
For those outside of Sydney, you can also watch this stream online:
Please note it is not possible to take banners, placards, signs etc into NSW Parliament House.
Take a minute to write a brief thank you to some politicians who did a lot of work behind the scenes to help ensure an amateur, recreational hunting program never got off the ground.
